The Cornerman: 15 Years Behind the Ropes

Dana Rivera has worked the corner in over two hundred bouts, amateur and professional. She says the job has almost nothing to do with what people picture from movies.

"By the time a fighter is in the corner between rounds, the fight is basically already decided by what they did in training," she says. "My job is one instruction, maybe two. If I'm giving a speech, I've already lost."
