Sarah J. walked into Ironbound as a first-timer six years ago and hasn't left the gym since. She won her regional title in her fourteenth amateur bout, and hasn't dropped a decision since.
Her style is built on pressure — cutting off the ring, working the body, and forcing opponents to fight her fight. Coach Rivera credits her footwork drilling for turning that pressure into something that doesn't leave her exposed.
Outside the ring, Sarah mentors newer fighters at the gym's beginner sessions on weekends.
